Whenever we discover the movie we let you know about it. Sometimes we watch a movie we saw years ago and want to remind people about it or sometimes we just stumble on movies we never knew about. American Drug War: The Last White Hope is a documentary discussing the governments approach and true intentions with the "War On Drugs". In relation to Hip Hop music, this documentary talks about famed Crack Cocaine kingpin Ricky "Freeway" Ross. The film discusses Ricky's connection to the Iran-Contra affair of the mid 80's in which the U.S. Government was involved in an scandalous campaign selling arms to Iran to fund the Nicaraguan Contras. I had heard and known about the allegations that the CIA was connected to the Crack epidemic, so I found this very insightful. The documentary has many other credible people such as Joe Rogan (Fear Factor), Robert Steele (former CIA), Chong (Cheech and Chong) as well as other public officials, ex DEA operatives and various experts. We have been on what seems like a documentary rampage!! Truth is im going in with my Netflix free trial!! LOL (Netflix pay me for that plug!). This documentary might not be for everyone but if your ever feeling down and think your life is tough, this would be one of those movies you pop in for inspiration. Blindsight is about six Tibetan kids that attempt to climb Mount Everest. That might not seem so crazy but these six kids are blind! Check out the trailer for "Blindsight" now.

Drug Wars: Plata or Plomo or the gringo version "Drug Wars: Silver or Lead" is a very insightful movie into the rarely publicized Mexican drugs wars. This documentary dives into the cause and effect of this intense war going on in the United States backyard. The documentary explains that if this problem is left unchecked it may spill over our borders. Actually the most shocking information in this film is of armed raids across our borders kidnapping and assaulting U.S. civilians. This is a great documentary uncovering our governments use of lies and deception in going to war in the name of the people of the United States. If your like me you have already began to see this for yourself but if you haven't been paying attention this movie will surely shock you. Don't take the word of this documentary film maker, use your common sense and open your eyes and ears. Next time you hear and see what is being served by the media and the government officials pay closer attention to the facts! I rather be a real patriot than an enslaved puppet! I don't know how I missed this flick but it seems to of been out for a while. Regardless I am glad I finally caught it! "Crips and Bloods" was directed by Stacy Peralta. Stacy Peralta also did the very dope documentary Dogtown and Z-boys and is co-owner of the skateboard empire Powell-Peralta. This movie really puts the entire Crips and Bloods gang culture into perspective and gives a great historical account of social environment in which these gangs manifested. I had seen clips of this movie here and there but it wasn't till last night that I finally sat down and watched this movie in its entirety. Food Inc. is a documentary about how our primary foods are made, where it comes from, and who controls the industry. Unless you have been living in a cave, this movie doesnt uncover anything new, it just reiterates how serious the problems with our food supply. If you have been ignoring the obvious tell tale signs that something is wrong, then this movie will be a total eye opener. If you are already aware of the problems in the food industry, then this movie will give you a more complete understanding of where our problems lie.
